Aquatic Therapy Program
Water may stimulate various sensory systems (including tactile, vestibular and proprioception), body awareness, muscle tone, control and co-ordination). It may also assist with learning a controlled and rhythmic breathing pattern.
Child’s Play
The Child’s Play group is a preschool program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program is a fee and is recognized as a service claimable through the Helping Children With Autism funds.
EarlyStart
The EarlyStart program is an education and therapy service that focuses on supporting inclusion, transition and partnerships, for children and families, in their local communities.
Helping Children with Autism
Pathways ECI offers families an opportunity to have greater choice and control, as they self-direct their funding.
Pathways ECI is an approved panel provider under the Helping Children with Autism initiative.
Individual Services
One to one services are available at Pathways ECI and are provided by a range of staff members which include: Early Childhood Special Educators, Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapists. A limited number of places are available for free and some places are chargeable under the Helping Children with Autism program
Infant Play and Therapy Group
The new Infant Play and Therapy Group aims to provide practical ideas for assisting parents to help their very young children.
Music Group
Music and movement are highly motivating activities for all children but for those with special needs, such as language or communication challenges, they provide the opportunities for children to express themselves and have fun at the same time.
Preschool
Pathways ECI runs a preschool program on Thursdays and Fridays through the school year. It is open to children with all abilities, and the mix of students each year includes children with special needs, their siblings, and children from the local community as well.
