Welcome to our baby group. This group begins with a 5-week course in infant massage, taught by a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. The group will also incorporate a play session where you can start to develop a range of interactive activities between you and your child. The aim of the group is to assist parents in recognising and responding to their baby’s individual cues. This can assist in setting up an environment for successful communication between parents and their child.

Massage is a nurturing and positive way in which we can interact with our children. The simple sequence of steps that will be taught have been researched over the past 20 years and are used worldwide. Positive results have been demonstrated for all groups of children, in particular pre-term babies and babies at risk of developmental delay. It has also received an excellent response from parents as it gives them increased awareness of their child and an avenue by which to relate and enjoy their interactions.
